ReadWriteThink – The International Reading Association maintains an online resource aimed at providing for support for teaching reading, and the enjoyment of reading, for classroom teachers, families, librarians, and others working with children.

TeachingBooks.net – Reading guides, classroom activities related to children’s books and authors, and other teaching tools include audio and video visits with acclaimed contemporary children’s literary figures.

We Need Diverse Books – From an author/illustrator/editor/librarian grassroots campaign, this continually growing site provides guidance in selecting books, teaching about diversity through books, literary awards, and more aimed at those wanting children’s publishing to expand beyond a “default” able-bodied straight white Western world.

Children’s Notable Lists – From the Association of Library Services to Children, these annual lists highlight books, audiobooks, and other media for those between birth and middle school.

Canadian Children’s Book Centre – Extensive resources about illustrators, authors, publishers, bloggers, and awards are readily available here.

YALSA’s Booklists – The Young Adult Library Services Association creates annual lists of books and other media of significance for middle and high school aged youth.

Calendar of Awards – The Database of Award Winning Children’s Literature shows all the international awards accorded to publications for children, with hyperlinks to follow for each year’s announcement
